Join families, friends, and neighbors for an afternoon exploring bike-friendly routes for people of all ages and abilities. Bike Palo Alto is free! Stop for treats and guided short adventures and activities in parks and other places along the way.
Who | You! Young adults and young-at-heart adults, children…everyone is invited! |
When | Register and get rolling from 1-3 PM on Sunday, September 29th. Routes and treat stops are open until 4 PM. |
Where | Registration and all bike routes start at Fairmeadow Elementary School, 500 East Meadow Drive. |
What | Explore Palo Alto: discover bike bridges, underpasses, bike boulevards & bike pathways, and alternatives to busier roads. Enjoy rewards at treat stops along the way. New this year! See glass-blowing demonstrations at The Great Glass Pumpkin Patch, docent-guided Baylands ecology experiences, El Palo Alto, our city’s namesake redwood tree and a chance to meet Perry, the donkey from the movie Shrek. |
Why | Bike Palo Alto kicks off the Fall Walk & Roll Week in PAUSD Schools. Palo Alto is a great city to safely bike: to school, to work, to the store, to visit a park, or the library… we hope this day will result in more enjoyable trips on bicycles, rather than cars! |
How | Register now online or on the day of. It’s free! Bring your helmet, water bottle, and bike (or rent one). Choose your adventure! Select one of our self-guided map routes! And start riding after you have signed in at Fairmeadow Elementary School. |
